PRAYER REQUESTS

REST IN JESUS

Are you tired and exhausted from all of life's fears and failures? Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest...For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Christians are not promised an easy life, but we are promised rest and joy that outweighs all the trouble that this world has to offer! (See Romans 8:18.)

TESTIMONIES

“One of Nate and my students from our bible study had a bad heart condition, and he did not get successful treatment from his doctors. They were very concerned for his health. We invited him to our church, Grace Covenant, and during one of the meetings, they asked if anyone needed healing. After being prayed for, he was immediately healed of his heart condition. When he returned to the doctors, they could not explain what had happened!”

“I have had so much pain in my life due to health issues such as fibromyalgia, kidney stones, and endometriosis. Nate has prayed and believed for my complete healing. He has encouraged me at my lowest times and prayed over the phone with me many times. I am thrilled to report through the work of Jesus Christ, I am completely healed! I am so incredibly thankful for Nate's constant prayers. It's an honor to support his ministry.”

“Two days before Christmas I tripped and must have injured my ankle. The next day with the whole family coming , I could not walk or even get my left leg to bear weight. I was miserable and scared. I had to stay in bed. Nate, who was home from the Kansas City prayer rooms, came up and at my request, layed hands on my swollen leg and prayed for complete restoration. I had already pretty much faced that I would be unable to attend my granddaughters christening the next morning—Christmas Eve. To my great joy, I woke the next morning able to bear weight and pain free.”

“For the past several months, I have experienced pain throughout my whole body. My joints and muscles were constantly aching for no apparent reason. One week, during our small group, our group leader asked if anyone needed healing. When I raised my hand, everyone gathered to pray for me, and I was healed from scoliosis. Throughout the next week, my back began hurting again. A week later I attended church, and I received prayer. The Lord spoke to me that He wants to pour out the water of His Word over me and that my disorder was a of a lack of His Word. Since then, I have been receiving healing every day!”

WANT TO RECEIVE JESUS?

Do you want a greater rest and joy then you can imagine? On the news we see natural disasters, lying politicians, civil wars and heinous acts of violence. Who can be trusted, and how can we truly feel safe in such an unruly world? This world is quickly fading away and all of the material objects with it.

The only sure rest and confidence in this mess is Jesus. I can tell you I have had more fun, more hope, joy, happiness, adventure and confidence in Jesus with one moment praying in His Presence (that is listening and talking to God) than any entertainment, food or drink I’ve consumed! When I talk with Him, I am never bored. I dare you to try it out for yourself!

Jeremiah 29:11-14 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope…..you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord.”

The same God that called Israel calls to you today. Can you hear His call in your heart? Searching for God with our whole heart means pursuing Him before anything else that we say or do. This doesn’t mean throwing everything out of your life, but the beginning of everything good that He has placed in your life and the end of anything that is not worth our time.

Are you ready to receive Jesus? It's not the prayer that saves you, but the heart behind the prayer. Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  Though we deserved eternal separation from God, Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we may receive life (Romans 6:23). Salvation is a free gift to all, but like any gift it must be received (John 3:16).

Faith is the avenue through which salvation is received. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast."

Let’s pray this prayer together! Say, “Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my heart to receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of me and make me the person you always created me to be. Let me see myself for how you see me, how much you love me and what you were thinking when you first created me. I receive your Holy Spirit into my life as my Helper, my Comforter and my Teacher. Thank you, Jesus!”
