June Update

This past month has been a whirlwind of ministry, worship, prayer and figuring out what the next season will look like. My friend Kiersten Richards, (the girl with the brown hair second from the left) and I led a trip of students from IHOPU (International House of Prayer University) to Northern Indiana. The trip was definitely a success. We were able to do inner city ministry, lead sets in a couple of prayer rooms as well as minister to the homeless in downtown Kalamazoo Michigan (an hour north of where we were settled for the trip) and Elkhart & Goshen Indiana.
Next Steps for this Summer & Fall

As mentioned before, ministry is continuing to change here. In the Fall, I am looking to work more closely with the music program here at the ministry school recently renamed FSW (the Forerunner School of Worship). I am hoping to coach & continue to help train students in prayer & intercessory worship as singers and musicians.
This summer, I will be working with two ministry outreaches one called KidCity7 and another called OJC (Orphan Justice Center). With KidCity7, we'll be ministering to Ruskin Heights, Kansas City.
Reorganizing, painting & building new shelves for local food pantry in Elkhart, IN
Ruskin Heights is very close to where our prayer room is (and where I live) but is considered by the police department as part of the inner city. The area is known for crime and being more impoverished. Our outreach is primarily working with the kids in the community, playing with them, then having a time of worship and a short message. This outreach has already had a big impact on my heart, seeing one family in particular have 8 siblings from four or five different dads and the most recent father just left the house. Please continue to be praying for this family and for my ministry in Ruskin Heights.

Ministry with Foster Facility
In addition to KidCity7, I have the privilege to work with Orphan Justice Center, a subset of International House of Prayer that I have wanted to work with since I first came to Kansas City. With this outreach, we will be working at one of the local homes for foster children (ages 6 to 18). I am not sure if I am allowed to say which facility, but please be in prayer as we start outreach this coming Thursday (June 3rd).
I love you guys, and will be praying for you. Please reach out if you need prayer.
